Kenavon Drive, Reading

Creating a community

Kenavon Drive, Reading

The site is within walking distance to the town centre, railway station and other public transport links. Easy pedestrian and cycle access to these will be designed into the scheme.

The development will include a new local store, landscaped open spaces and new bars and restaurants along the river, creating an attractive  waterside area for new and existing residents.

Reflecting the Abbey Quarter

historical map.jpg

The old Reading Gaol and the Abbey are both a focus for creating a new heritage sector for Reading. The former Reading Prison is currently being marketed for redevelopment and funding to re-open the ruins of Reading Abbey was secured from the Heritage Lottery Fund in December 2015, with work scheduled to start in September 2016 ahead of a planned reopening in 2018. Our design approach, using traditional materials in a modern way, aims to reflect these historical sites.
